Our organization has decided to briefly delay the start of our ’25 – ’26 season as we reassess the needs of our young singers in this busy world in which we live. As we take the next month to explore our board & organizational structure as well as our choral offerings format, we are so thankful for the community’s support and look forward to seeing everyone at our annual performance with BSO and Robinson Ballet Dec. 20th & 21st. BAYC is holding open rehearsals for new singers September 20th and 27th! All singers, ages 8 – 18 are welcome to come to a rehearsal and check out what being a part of BAYC is all about!
Open rehearsals will be held from 4:30 – 5:30pm for ages 8 – 12 and from 5:30 – 630pm for ages 13 – 18.
Rehearsals for returning singers start on September 13th!
We offer 3 choral tracts with normal weekly rehearsal times as follows:
– Treble Singers (non-auditioned): Ages 8 – 12, Rehearsals 4:30 – 5:30pm
– Mixed Ensemble (non-auditioned): Ages 12 – 18, Rehearsals 5:00 6:00pm
– Chamber Singers (auditioned): Ages 14 – 18, Rehearsals 5:00 – 6:30pm

Featuring selections from all 4 choirs – from campfire songs to Clara Schumann to Leonard Cohen to well-loved spirituals – there’s sure to be something for everyone! Combined Concerts with Old Saybrook HS Chamber Singers, Old Saybrook, CT., and Yorktown Presbyterian Choir, Yorktown, NY.
A trip to the Aquarium.
A day in NYC! We will be doing some sightseeing, eating lunch at Ellen’s Stardust Diner, and then half of the group will go to Wicked, while the other half goes to Hadestown!

Due to the expected weather on Wednesday, January 10th and the many school cancelations already rolling in, we have decided to postpone the start date for BAYC in an effort to ensure everyone's safety.
